Premier League legends and Harry Potter stars on board with the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship!

There is less than a week to go until the action gets underway at the 2019 Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship, and even more star names have now been announced.

Renowned Manchester United striker Teddy Sheringham MBE, former Manchester United and Everton manager David Moyes, ex-Wales international rugby star Tom Shanklin and Harry Potter actors James and Oliver Phelps will all be taking on the Cromwell Course between 6–9 August.

Over the course of his successful career Teddy Sheringham won three Premier League titles, one FA Cup and one Champions League. He was also an integral part of the club’s 1999 treble winning side scoring the equalising goal in the final. As well as this he earned 51 caps for England and also played for Tottenham, West Ham and Nottingham Forest.

David Moyes is perhaps best known for his time as a Premier League manager with Manchester United and Everton. Before getting the top job at Old Trafford he spent eleven years at Goodison Park and has also managed West Ham, Sunderland and Spanish side Real Sociedad.

Joining these footballing stars will be Welsh rugby player Tom Shanklin. He represented his country 70 times scoring 100 points and played for Saracens and Cardiff Blues in the domestic game.

Rounding off these announcements will be twin actors James and Oliver Phelps. The pair are famed for starring as Fred and George Weasley in all eight Harry Potter films. Both are keen golfers and will be looking to come out on top during the week.             

These big names will be competing in the week’s celeb-ams along with a number of other famous faces from the world of sport and entertainment. These include: Peter Schmeichel MBE, Gaz Beadle, Kriss Akabusi MBE, Len Goodman, Brian McFadden, Keith Duffy, Dan Walker, Steve Harmison MBE and many more.
